AESI Grants Computers to Two Olongapo Public Schools

August 15, 2008 – Two public elementary schools in Olongapo received 8 units each of brand new computers as part of Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc.’s (AESI) corporate social responsibility. These schools were Sta. Rita Elementary School (SRES) and Gordon Heights I Elementary School (GHES I) who qualified from the evaluation given among the public elementary schools in Olongapo City. 
 
The evaluation includes the performance of the schools based on National Achievement Test 2007 which was excelled by SRES followed by GHES I. Both schools also have an existing computer rooms, a very cooperative faculty and agreed to provide tables and chairs for the donated computers.
 
The turnover ceremony and MOA signing for both schools were attended by AESI’s EVP/COO – Mr. Benjamin Cariaso,Jr.; General Manager – Mr. Aaron Berin; Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. Managing Trustee – Mr. Sonny Carpio; Subic Enerzone VP – Mr. Dante Pollescas; and other AESI, Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., and SEZ team members. Second party signatory for SRES was Mrs. Anelita dela Torre – Principal III and for GHES I was Mrs. Merle A. Ellano - Principal who, were both witnessed by Dr. Ligaya B. Monato – Schools Division Superintendent. Also gracing the event were some local city officials including Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr.; Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo and Zambales Vice-Governor Anne Marie Gordon.
